I believe in slowing down time, even for a moment, so you remember what is important in life. First smile, roll, sit up, walk… record them in your baby book and take photos. Lots of them! A professional baby photographer is an important way to record these stages in your baby’s development whenever they happen for your little one. Baby sessions showcase the laughter, love and joy captured as your little one starts to explore the world around them. Capture all the milestones from first smiles to first steps to cherish for years to come.

Chilliwack Baby Photography Process and Pricing

This process and pricing structure applies to all 'family' photography sessions - maternity, newborns, babies, small or large families, and extended families.

Step 1: The Session Fee

$200

Full payment of the session fee is required to secure your booking. Booking fees are non-refundable.

The Session fee includes:

-Planning appointment with personalized styling

-Use of our client wardrobe collection and props

-Portrait session in-studio or on-location

-The editing and enhancing of your purchased images

-Post-session viewing and ordering appointment to choose your final artwork

-Gallery wall installation at your home for custom wall art

All artwork and digital images are purchased separately from your session fee. To give you an idea, my packages start at $650 and include a beautiful wall art piece and a selection of digital images that you personally choose.

Step 2: Consultation

This is a time for us to get to know each other and dream up portraits made just for you. The consultation answers ALL your questions, from what to wear, to how images will be displayed in your home, color design, location planning, and the look and feel of the session. We will discuss all the specifics, and you will handle samples in person, so you see what types of artwork fit best into your lifestyle and home.

Step 3: The Session

The day of your baby's photo shoot has arrived, a wonderful occasion to celebrate their growth and personality. Throughout the session, I'll capture the unique charm and energy of your little one. This session is an opportunity to capture the precious milestones and memories that make this stage of childhood so special. So, sit back, relax, and allow me to focus on the details, ensuring that these memories are beautifully preserved for you to cherish in the years to come.

Step 4: Choosing Images and Products

After your images are prepared, we will meet for your viewing and ordering session. We'll watch a slideshow (tissues provided;), and after choosing your favorite images, we will work together to design the heirloom artwork. Using my state-of-art software and photos of the spaces in your home, I will show your portraits scaled onto your walls. I will guide you every step of the way using your goals from the consultation to achieve your vision.

Step 5: Product Creation and Delivery

Your frames, albums and prints are created to the highest standard. All albums come with two revisions to ensure the layout is perfect for your family.

Once created we arrange to-the-door delivery of your beautiful products. And if you need help with hanging items - I can even do that too.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are the best ages to capture?: There is so much growth in your baby's first year of life! The milestones that are typically captured are lifting their head and smiling on their tummy or back at 3-4 months, sitting up and or crawling at 6-9 months, and their first birthday at 12 months. Some clients even want to celebrate their baby's 1st birthday with cake smash photos!
How long does a baby session last?: Milestone baby sessions last about 30 minutes. Your baby has a short attention span at this age and we will just go with the flow.
Can I be in the photos with my baby?: Of course! Many milestone sessions include family shots, capturing the love and connection between you and your child.
What should my baby wear for the session?: This depends on your preferences and the photographer's style. Many parents choose cute outfits or use props like tutus, headbands, or bows. Alternatively, you can opt for simple, neutral clothing to focus on your baby's features.
Where do baby sessions take place?: That depends on your preference. They can be taken on location, in your home, or in my home studio.
Can I bring any specific ideas or themes for the photo session?: Absolutely! Feel free to discuss any specific ideas, themes, or Pinterest boards you have in mind with me. They can help bring your vision to life.
