Many parents opt for a cute outfit, often a diaper cover or a tutu for girls and shorts for boys. The outfit should match the chosen theme and color scheme.  I do have a some outfits in my client closet.  Make sure to bring a smash outfit and, if you wish, a second outfit for their pre smash photos.  Set décor (optional- anything above and beyond of what I include.)  Dry clean snacks (Cheerios or Puffs) and a sippy cup of water. Bubble bath if baby has sensitive skin (I use scented tear-free one.) Favourite song uploaded on your phone.  Change of clothes for yourself- you will be wrangling a toddler… things get messy!

Of course! A small, soft and easily smashable cake is ideal.  Choose a simple vanilla or chocolate cake with minimal decorations.  If your child has allergies, I do require you to bring your own cake.

If your child has allergies I do require  you to bring your own cake.  Or your baby can smash fruit, Jell-O, pancakes, yogurt, whipped cream popsicles, cupcakes, spaghetti, avocado, ice cream, pie or even do a paint party instead!  There are tons of ideas we can do.

I do include a basic cake and basic decor in the theme colors ei, basic backdrop, balloons, paper banner, paper fans, paper honeycombs and paper pom poms. If you want a special backdrop, theme or unique props, you have two options: you can either bring them along yourself, or I can source them and send you an itemized bill separately.

Most cake smash sessions are booked a few weeks before or after the child's first birthday.  Some parents like to have the images ready for their birthday or thank you cards.  If this is the case, make sure you book about 1 month before the party.
